• 1) Individuals are prohibited from importing goods intended for resale or to be submitted to an industrialization process, except for imports made by rural producers, artisans, artists or similar.
• 2) Goods subject to import licensing in Siscomex Importação by the Army Command or by the Federal Police Department.
• 3) Goods to which the application of the STS is prohibited, under Article 23 (I — alcoholic beverages; II — goods referred to in Chapter 24 of the NCM: tobacco and tobacco products), except samples with no commercial value of goods imported by an industrial establishment registered with the RFB, pursuant to Article 330 of Decree No. 7,212 of June 15, 2010.
• 4) Wildlife animals.
• 5) Wild plants.
• 6) Diamonds of heading 7102 of the NCM.
• 7) Currency.
• 8) Used or refurbished goods.
• 9) Packages compatible with the non-invasive inspection equipment available in the express shipment clearance areas measure up to 80 cm height x 80 cm width x 80 cm length and a maximum of 100 kg. Packages outside these standards must undergo invasive inspection*.

* The following are not subject to this restriction

• a) Goods covered by Paragraph 5 of Article 37;
• b) Goods temporarily exported by an individual that return to the country;
• c) Physical media comprising integrated circuits, semiconductors and similar devices, recorded with content equivalent to a document;
• d) Books, other printed matter, photographs and documents;
• e) Artistic objects and antiques; and
• f) Goods intended for personal use or consumption, imported by an individual.
